Bringing festival vibes to the online realm
Every year, music lovers from all over the world gather in the idyllic Amsterdamse Bos to discover new and influential electronic acts at the groundbreaking Dekmantel Festival. We were asked to translate the unique vibe of their event into an online experience.
The idea
With DF: All Access, we’ve created an audiovisual web-experience to bring the excitement and curiosity of the festival to the online realm. Here, visitors can relive their festival experience or prepare for next year’s edition by diving into content ranging from artist interviews, festival videos and photo series, in-depth features, a fresh batch of set recordings and much, much more.
Highlights
To bring the identity and feeling of the festival to the online realms, we’ve developed a series of fluid and unexpected transitions that serve as a navigation through the platform. For this, we have built a custom module for the back-end to be able to control all the animations on the website. As administrator, Dekmantel can tailor the different types of transitions to accompany the content as they see fit.
